New Time Jumpers!

The Time Jumpers are very proud to announce the addition of two new members to the band! We've added the legendary Vince Gill as a guitarist/mandolinist and vocalist. Mr Gill brings with him a legacy of hit records as well as a reputation of great personal integrity. He is a master vocalist and songwriter, and widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists in the world. He was born and raised in Oklahoma, so his love of Western Swing is in his blood!

Them Changes

The Time Jumpers are going through some serious changes. After many years, master fiddler Aubrey Haynie has chosen to leave the Time Jumpers. It has been an honor and privilige to share the stage with a man of his talent and virtousity, and he will be sorely missed. Carolyn Martin also has decided to leave the band. We wish her all the best and great succes as she seeks to further her own career as a vocalist. Her talent, charm and beauty should carry her a long way.

Recent Mondays

Recent Mondays have really been a ball. We've had great subs, Bobby Durham filled in for Dennis, who (poor guy) had to go to LA to play with Robert Plant and Allison Krauss on the Grammy awards show. Paul Franklin missed a night as well, and we had the amazing "Monster" Mike Johnson playing steel. One Monday was Guitar Jury night, with Andy sweating while Tommy Emmanuel was in the audience with Brent Mason and his young protege, Sol Philcox, a brilliant guitarist from the UK.

ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're calling it our Spring Tour- a road trip to play at the Ogle Center at the Indiana University Southeast in beautiful New Albany Indiana. An easy drive from Nashville, we were greeted by a great crew in a beautiful venue. It's always funny when we play to a new audience- there's always a contingent of Time Jumper fans, a contingent of Western Swing fans, and a vast majority who have no idea what to expect!

Super Star night!!!

OK, a lot of famous people drop into the Station Inn on a Monday night, but last week was ridiculous! First, we had bluegrass diva Marci Salyer with her writing partner Joel Keller. Next to her was Nashville Jazz diva April Barrows with her partner, legendary bassist Dave Hungate, and with them was the amazing Lynda Carter, remembered by EVERY man older than 25 as television's "Wonder Woman". As if this wasn't enough, "Part Time Jumper" Vince Gill took the stage to render an amazing version of "Bartender's Blues" !

Public Broadcasting- another friend

By now the edited version of the Time Jumpers "Jumpin'  Time" DVD has been on the air all over the country as part of  the fund raisng efforts of public television. We are very proud to help such a noble and long running enterprise as PBS, and are very grateful for the exposure that we've garnered out of the deal. Another great thing came out of the NPR (National Public Radio) side of things when "All Things Considered", a radio show I've had a 25 year addiction to, broadcast  an amzing 8 minute piece that Craig Havighust produced on us.

You Tube

You Tube has really become our friend. We posted several clips from thhe DVD there, and they have been very well recieved. Since then, folks have posted several audience vids of us, and also of varios people sitting in. You can see us backing Vince, Jim Ed Brown, David Ball, the Isaacs, and many more! Check it out!

Carolyn Martin Wins orestigious AWA Award!!

Our own beloved Carolyn Martin has been recognized as the best female Western Swing singer in the land by the Academy of Western Artists!! Well, we of course have always know that, but it's nice to see the rest of the world figuring it out! She was also nominated for Album of the Year for her great "Swing" album, and for Song of the Year for the song "Texas to a T", written by her, Mitch Ballard, and Andy Reiss. The Time Jumpers also were nominated for Band of the Year.

July 29

was a wonderful Monday night. We playrd the Grand Ole Opry last weekend, and our Saturday night host, the legendary Jim Ed Brown, honored us by joining us onstage Monday night! His rollicking rendition of his huge hit "Pop A Top" brought the house down!

Welcome back to Dennis Crouch!

For most of the late spring and summer, TJ founder and bassist extraordinare Dennis Crouch has been living out his rock star fantasies touring worldwide with Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. We are absolutely delighted to welcome him back to his cubby hole on stage Monday nights!
