Me again. My wife and I just saw a show of yours on PBS here in the Charlotte, NC area. FANTASTIC!!! And you sang and played one of my very most favorite ballads - - "Sweet Memories". Brought tears to me eyes. We love you. Didn't know such a group existed. It's so good to be able to hear real Country Music again. We are most certainly going to try to get out to Nashville to see you guys in person.
Saw you for the first time on TV this evening (9/27/08) and am wondering why I haven't seen you before. I LOVE YOUR MUSIC!!! That's Country - they way it was and the way it should be. My wife and I are both retired and I hope we can get to see you some day.
Hi Jeff-now I know why you haven't called! I met you recently in Smithville while you were playing in the park. I grabbed your squeezebox and did a polka or two-then invited you over not knowing a thing about you. You're a busy boy! I found out more about you when I saw the group on TV yesterday. Had to write that I think THE TIME JUMPERS are absolutely teriffic!!! Will catch you live soon. Oh, and should I bring my accordian in case you want me to sit in? You have a new fan.
Caught a portion of your show on PBS the other night. All I can say is you guys are a wonderful group. Dawn Sears has a great voice and fits like a glove with the rest of the group. I live in Leroy VanDyke's hometown of Sedalia, MO. He's an "old timer" too but still thrills crowds throughout the US. Your music brings back many memories of the great artists who have sadly moved on the that great music hall in the sky.
Played in New Orleans for 30 years. Now in Albuquerque playing western swing with The Curio Cowboys. Apart from knowing about Bob Wills and hearing a couple more WS bands over the years I didn't know how much WS was going on. I've discovered all the old bands like Spade Cooley and a very interesting band called The Swift Jewel Cowboys who may have had New Orleans musicianers in it. I like the fact that you do a lot of standards as well as traditional WS tunes. I play trumpet, trombone and sax and after playing N.O. music for so long, WS is very natural to me and swinging is second nature and you really DO swing!!!!!!!!
I just received my CD and DVD of the Time Jumpers. I think Im going to wear it out, I really enjoy the music.
On a sadnote , when did John Hughley pass away?
Hey guys, Just heard you the other night on PBS, It was sure sweet, I have played for over 30 years now, I am 50. You guys are beyond words, I so enjoyed such stage consideration. Young kids today turn the amps to loud and run all over each other. Keep playing long as you can, We're out here hearing the music. Sure miss John, God Bless.
Dawn, I just had to comment that your vocals on the Grand Ole Opry last night with Vince Gill was wonderful, as always. I am becoming a HUGE fan of yours!
i can't wait to see you guys! ironically, i just finished painting a pair of riders in the sky shoes and a pair of shoes for woody pauls son the day before i found about this awesome band. i love this stuff!!!
Well you guys are still the greatest, I sent my special pals to see you last nite 8/28/08 and you just had to see them(Bun Wilson and Doc Richardson) I am trying my best to get back to Nashville to be with you and enjoy Time Jumper swing but I got stuck down here in Pecan Gap Texas and just can't seem to get going in that direction. I called last nite but you guys had just gone on stage, sorry I didn't get to talk with you.
July 26, 2008 was the second time I saw The Time Jumpers play at the Grand Ole Opry -- you guys are fantastic. The Grand Ole Opry would not be the same for me without you guys there. Dawn and Kenny rock!
I just heard you on the Grand Ole Oprey. I remembered your music from a show on PBS. I love your music and the memories it brings back. I'm 64 and remember the Western Swing of Bob Wills. You do a great job of recreating that sound. I like the smooth voice of your female vocalist. Keep up the good work.
What a band. Your DVD is constantly played by me. If I can get to Nashville I will certainly be there on a Monday night.
I guess there is no chance you will ever come over to England?
I can live in hope
Just watched the DVD I got on May 20th. I fell from one goose bumps to the next and when Dawn sings Sweet Memories at the end I shed a little tear, specially with John Hughey's steel guitar solo ! Recently I can't find many reasons to visit Nashville anymore because I love that true Country Music but when I jump across the big pond Monday Night at the Station Inn is a must. Sitting here in Germany the only "Country" I can get are linedance parties (uurgh !) or live bands playing commercial top ten "new country". Your DVD brings back so many fine memories, thank you for that great piece of music and KEEP THE SPIRIT !
God bless,
Ralf Richter, Loeln, Germany
Dawn, we received your CD in the mail a couple weeks ago. Haven't been able to turn it off! I used to be my husband's favorite singer, but that was until he heard you. Now he plays your CD instead of mine all the time. Your voice is the greatest. Thanks so much for signing our CD, too. We really appreciated it. Ranita (Smith) and Jr. Todd, Brooksville, KY
We've caught your shows at the Station Inn on several of our visits to Nashville, so it's time to say how very much we appreciate the pure joy of your music! Last week we bought your DVD, so when we're back home in Australia we'll be able to have a "Time Jumpers" evening whenever we like. We've bought an Aubrey Haynie CD too. He's great - but you all are!
See you at the Station Inn tonight! Keep on Jumpin!
Brenda and Derek Buisson
Just saw you folks perform at the Opry on Saturday and loved your music. I'm a fan now! Hope to catch a performance again soon! Keep playing the great music.
